The weekend commenced with dinner on the evening of Friday 3rd October, 2014 and concluded with a farewell dance on the afternoon of Sunday 5th October. There was a mixture of dances & workshops, and some free time to explore the Exe Estuary & Devon Coast.
GUEST CALLER - Geoff CubittGeoff started calling at Loughborough F.D.Club nearly 30 years years ago and is still based in the area. Since then he has called on a regular basis both locally and nationally. Geoff believes that dancing should be fun for all participants both on the dance floor and on the stage. For festivals and club dances he specialises in American Squares and Contras. Roger Wilkins & Maggie Percy hail from Bromyard, in Herefordshire. They have been playing music for dancing for over 35 years and are happy to play anything in the broad Anglo-American repertoire, including Playford, Contra, Patter, Singing Square, English Traditional, Welsh and, on an occasional basis, Scottish. The hotel's excellent 'Washington Ballroom' was our venue for dancing.
